To Our Shareholders

To Our Stockholders for the 81st term/2011 Fiscal Year
  (From April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012)

To begin, we would like to thank you for your consideration and guidance for Toho Titanium.
This letter is to report our group business summary for the 81st term.

Our titanium metal segment during this term has recovered from an operating loss in the previous term because titanium demand has increased in both the aerospace and
non-aerospace markets. Conversely, our catalyst and chemical segment decreased in income and profit due to factors such as the appreciation of the Japanese yen.

Accordingly, the company's net sales total 36 billion yen, which is a 28.0% increase from
the previous term. Unfortunately, after the deduction of all expenses of the company from
the combined operating incomes of both of our segments, the result is a 333 million yen loss
in operating and a 621 million yen net loss for the company.

Titanium metal demand is expected to grow steadily, so we have enhanced the manufacturing productivity of the titanium sponge at the Wakamatsu Plant. We have also begun to enhance the manufacturing productivity of titanium ingots at the Yawata Plant.
Also, we funded by capital increase through third-party allocation in order to meet the purpose of financial improvement for the future plant and equipment investment.

We continue to strive for the company's vision to evolve titanium as a major metal, and to position ourselves as one of the leading titanium producers in the world.

We greatly appreciate your support and confidence in the company and we would like to
ask you to continue to guide us in the future.
