Participation in the Carbon Offset City Gas Buyers Alliance
In March 2021, we established the Carbon Neutral LNG Buyers Alliance together with 14 corporations including Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. In September 2024, the alliance has been renamed the Carbon Offset City Gas Buyers Alliance, and more than 80 corporations, corporate bodies and municipalities participate in it.
The carbon offset city gas is the city gas which can contribute to the reduction of CO2 on a global scale by carbon offset, specifically offsetting all or part of greenhouse gas generated in the city gas lifecycle by CO2 reduced or absorbed in various domestic and international projects.
We have been making efforts to make the carbon offset city gas widely known to the general public and to increase its usage value in order to contribute to the “realization of a carbon-neutral society” in 2050.
Participation in the GX League
Our corporate group participated in the GX League* hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in FY 2024.We will contribute to the creation of a society where GHG emissions are reduced, to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.
